GaltaJi
Temple
The Galtaji Temple is an old temple site located 10
kilometres from the village of Jaipur in the village of Khania-Balaji that
consists of several shrines and water tanks in pilgrimages. There are temples
devoted to deities, including Balaji and Surya, or the Sun God within the
network. There is also a temple named Ramgopalji, called the Monkey Temple
because there reside a large group of primates. The most famous festival here
is Makara Sankranti.
Birla Mandir
Birla Mandir is located on an elevated plateau in Jaipur, Rajasthan, at the foot of Moti Dungari mountain. When it looks bright at night, the reasonably old building established by Birla Group of Industries in 1988 looks spectacular. Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi are devoted to the shrine. Three amazing big domes are in the temple. A fascinating fact is that it is now said that the maharaja gives Birla for just one rupee to the property on which the temple sits. The magnificent building of marble is surrounded by lush green gardens and one of Jaipur's most famous temples.
GovindJi
Temple
The Temple of Govind Dev Ji is a Hindu shrine established
in 1735 CE in the Town Palace complex and devoted to Govind Dev Ji, a Lord
Krishna Incarnation. The image of the ruling Lord was primarily carried from
Vrindavan by the Jaipur founder Raja Sawai Jai Singh II. The temple has seven aartis, during which visitors may take the Govind Dev Ji’s darshan.
