Fly into Leh. Starting point of rafting is Chilling on Zanskar river ie about 1.5 hrs from Leh, 30 kms. Rafting from Chilling to end point is 23 kms takes 2.5 hrs. It has 3 plus grade rapids - can be done by anyone. Rafting is depends on water level - instructions given there itself. U see instructions to the group.

The kayaker is also practicing. `Zanskar River originates from the high altitude plateau of Sarchu on the border of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir . Originally known as the Tsarap the river gorges a path out of the rocky mountains of western Himalayas , dropping in a continuous torrent of class V rapids. The river then eases into the forbidden Kingdom of Zanskar and slowly flows past the capital at Padum. Here it joins with the Stod river which flows down from the Pensi La pass on the road from Kargil to Padum`.
