The Mysore Palace was constructed in 1912 at a cost of Rs 41,47,913 by Her Highness, the Maharani Vanivilasa Sannidhana. Here is the rear side of the Jayamartanda gate i.e. facing towards the palace.

Sri Bhuvaneshvari Temple was constructed by Sri Jayachamarajendra Wadiyar in the year 1951.

There was a music shop in Gokarna town which sold guitar, jamba (like a tabla), dhamru. The Jamba is quite popular. Lot of people would buy it and play on the beach.
