Purmandal is about 40 kms from Jammu, drive from highway is through low lying hills and very green area. It is a complex of ancient temples associated with Shavite Hindus. U see main temple ie on the banks of underground Devak river. Water is not visible but if you put your hand in sand you get water.

Inside the main temple. At one end is flame - devotees take mustard oil (if I remember correctly) to light flame. Felt very nice whilst doing so. You see a Kund in which is a Shivling. U can pour as much water as you want it never comes up but if you pour oil or milk it comes up.

Close up of Shivling inside kund. Every where I travel, each place has something unique about it.

Close view of temple. Gold plating donated by Maharaja Ranjit Singh who also gave gold for Hari Mandir Amritsar, Kashi Vishwanath Mandir and Jwalkamukhi Mandir in Himachal.

Close up of dome - has image of Shri Krishna and Radha.

Right side of pic is Kashi Vishwanath Mandir. Below the white shikharas are lingams as you shall see in pic no 8.

Inside the Vishwanath Mandir.

Rows of lingams as referred to earlier.
