The Durgiana Temple complex was built in the 16th century, is dedicated to Ma Durga and is very similar to the Golden Temple. The temple was constructed by Guru Harsai Mal Kapoor. U see close up of Durgiana

Like Golden Temple this Mandir too has a sarovar or holy pond on all sides. Doing a parikrama or circumbulation round the temple is done before darshan. Amritsar, earlier name Ramdaspur, is
particularly important as it is believed that the Luv-Kush along with their mother Mata Sita spent their early childhood in the ashram of Bhagwan Maharishi Valmiki ji here.
