1. Getting out of Kaza. Mohit Midha gave short description of each pic. As Editor, I have added more info to make it complete. Mohit did this drive in 2019. He runs a travel company out of Delhi which organises tours. Check out his posts on FB, one better than another.

2. Awesome Spiti Valley. Mohit has shared many panoramic view pics. Kaza is the main town in Spiti and is at a height of app 12,000 feet and at app 13,400 feet is Losar.

3. What an inspiring place to have an Institute. Did this drive in 2001 in a Himachal Tourism bus. Route was Lahaul, Batal, Kunzum Pass, Losar to Kaza. From Batal Chandratal Lake is 14 kms. Missed doing in 2001 and 2016.

4. Track cut into wild terrain. “Losar is just like any other village in Spiti, a little bit greener than the rest. There are a few dhabas that were already readying breakfast and I feasted on Aloo Paratha. I was warned by the driver to eat well since the next eatery would be in Batal.”

5. Typically Spiti. Even the hills here look nice.

6. Wow.

7. Truly wild. Saw many roads like this. Great work Border Roads Organization. One must be careful whilst driving.

8. Wow.

9. The drive was some experience. Typical Spiti. The drive from Kalpa to Spiti, of what I recall from 2001 trip, is not as exciting as the drive from to Spiti via Losar.

10. Drive to Spiti must be explored. Distance between Losar and Kaza is 56 kms. But would urge you to hire a vehicle and stop at villages to get a feel of local culture. Combine it with a trip to Chandratal Lake.

11. Love this spot and bridge. India has so much to offer. Go to Spiti in right season or you might stuck. Check with HP Tourism or experienced travelers.

12. Highway Haseena loved the drive too. Haseena has done the Leh Manali drive too.

13. In the middle of somewhere.

14. Wow.

15. Arriving at Lohsar. “It is located in the extreme end of the Spiti Valley, which is much similar to Ladakh in appearance. There are magnificent mountains, stunning rivers, and breathtaking vistas in Losar that can spellbind any tourist with its unparalleled beauty.”

16. From Lohsar begins the climb to Kunzum Pass. Do remember to take the aashirwad of Kunzum Mata at the Pass. For a good travelogue https://lifeisavacation.in/2017/06/13/chandratal-lake-in-a-day/
