1. Glimpse of Aqua line coaches during Inauguration of trial runs of Metro line 3. Caption starts with one liner provided by Mumbai Metro 3 followed by Editors writing. Making an underground Metro is never easy, more so in the Island and Congested city of Mumbai.

2. Completed tunnel from CSMIA T1 (Santacruz Airport) to Sahar Road metro station. Tunnelling is carried out by highly mechanized TBM machines which are 98 meter long with a diameter of 5.8 meter. These huge machines weigh approximately 700 to 800 tons. TBM machines are an alternate to the drilling and blasting method of tunnelling.

3. Aerial view of CSMIA T2 (Sahar airport) metro station. 7 islands were joined to become Mumbai. Dig a few feet and you could find water below. The island city of Mumbai ends at Mahim and Sion. Metro 3 starts at one end of Mumbai i.e. Cuffe Parade and ends at SEEPZ in Andheri (East).

4. Lifts installed at Mumbai Central Metro station. Every time I visit Delhi thank Metro Man E Sreedharan for making it happen. Mumbai’s Metro 3 is a 33.5 kms long underground corridor.

5. Ongoing construction of Ancillary Building at BKC metro station. Wish Mumbai Metro 3 created Mini Forests on numerous traffic islands across Mumbai.

6. Ongoing Escalator installation work at BKC metro station.

7. Ongoing NATM tunnel work at Kalbadevi station Down Line tunnel.

8. View of Entry C of CSMIA T2 (Sahar Airport) metro station.
