"The temple is dedicated to Sri Adi Varaha Perumal (Lord Vishnu in the form of Wild Boar). Thiruvidanthai is the 62nd temple of 108 Divya Desam vishnu Temples." The temple is enroute from Chennai to Mahabalipuram. You see the Mandapam.

Temple entrance. "Mangalasasanam (Praised as a holy Shrine) to this temple was done by Thirumangai Alwar (One of the 12 Alwars Saints). This Sthalam (Temple) is one of the 22 Diya Desam Temples in Thondai Nadu."

As you cross entrance enter open area where you see the flag post in centre of pic. "The temple is more than 1000 Years Old. This temple well known to locals as Nithya Kalyana Perumal Temple. " To know about temple history Click here

Temple was undergoing reservation. On left and right of pic is GARUDA the vehicle of Lord Vishnu. Devotees who are not getting married (boy or girl) eg my driver, came to this temple prayed with a Mala which they then took home and kept safely. After you find a life partner the couple come back to the temple with two malas made of flowers and offer to Varaha Perumal. My driver actually did what I have described and then met his wife. Clicking pictures inside temple not permitted.
