Shimla

Early morning sunrise at Club Mahindra, Mashobra resort. Shimla is the capital city of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, located in northern India at an elevation of 7,200 ft. U can reach by road Chandigarh is 117kms, airport is at Jubbar-Hatti 23 km away. It is connected by rail to Kalka by an enenchanting narrow gauge railway line.

The Kalka–Shimla Railway is a narrow gauge railway in North-West India travelling along a mostly mountainous route from Kalka to Shimla. Some tourist actually run along side the train.

This lady was carrying a TV on her back! Indians who live in the hills, called Pahadis, are very hard working and sturdy. They are accustomed to walking, hence can cover long distances at speeds that those from the plains can never imagine.

St. Michael''s Cathedral has a cruciform design and fi­ne stained glass décor. Located just off the Mall, below the District Courts, the cathedral is a place to revel in.

The Indian Coffee House is a restaurant chain in India, run by a series of worker co-operative societies. The India Coffee House chain was started by the Coffee Cess Committee in 1936.
