This article tells you ways in which Yoga has contributed to the Western World for e.g. patients suffering from pre and post-radio-therapy sleep and depression benefits from yoga techniques and psychotherapists engage themselves in mindfulness -based meditation practice.

Yoga’s metaphysical understanding of perception is yet another gift to the world. Contemporary psychotherapists have much to gain by informing their psychological counselling with the yoga paradigm of the mind, its mindfulness meditations, and certain yoga practices that help master negative tendencies of the mind
