Deaths due to terrorism and insurgency in Kashmir, Punjab and Left-wing extremism were 74,219 and north east 21,602.
India
is one of the worst victims of exceedingly violent terrorist and insurgency
movements for decades. We are losing soldiers and paramilitary forces at such a
high frequency today that the common man has begun to stop feeling concerned. Think
of the family who loses a father, brother, son and how they cope with the loss.
Since
Indians have very short memories and with the intent to make us attach value to
life that I compiled the following data.
Table
1 has lives lost due to terrorist, left wing extremism and insurgency. Table 2
list bomb blasts in which more than 15 lives were lost starting 1993.
