There are two reasons to visit Indore one of which is outstanding street food.  SARAFA is a jewellery market during day & street food after 9 pm. It is close to Rajwada, the Holkar Palace i.e. best visited during the day. It is better to take an auto to Sarafa to avoid finding car parking unless you know the area well.

Samosa. 2018. 

It is from this samosa shop that Sarafa starts. This shop open during day too. Market starts about 9 pm.

Jaleba. 

What you see being fried is JALEBA a speciality of Indore. It is an oversized jalebi which on biting into oozes of sugar syrup called chaashni.

Dahiwada. 

Joshi Dahiwade Wale. He puts the dahiwada in a plate and throws it in the air – nothing falls out. In his fingers Joshiji takes red chilly, black salt, black pepper, jeera and normal salt. At one puts all on the dahi wada

Paan Shop. 2018. 

This is Annapurna Paan Shop. Pan types are strawberry, chocolate, litchi, butterscotch, blackcurrent, gundi, FIRE, fruit cocktail, SMOKE, mango and orange flavours.

Chatni Tikka. 

This one also called Sawariya sells chatni tikka, mayonnaise special tikka, chole tikka amongst others.

Bute Ka Kiss. 

This is an Indore speciality BUTE KA KISS. It is sweet corn, spicy and sweet with a dash of lime. Loved this. This is Suresh Chaat Centre.

Somewhere enroute had  gathiya chaat topped with onions, tomato and coriander.

Saboodana khichdi.

‘Sawariya Seth Khichdi Wala’ known for saboodana khichdi, saboodana tikkiya, chips & peanut chaat. I had khichdi & peanut chaat.

Coconut juice.

Kamal Coconut Crush. Perfect way to end food feast. It contains coconut juice, sugar, malai and an optional vanilla ice-cream.

Also do visit Chappan Dukan (56 shops), very famous for its street food.

Vijay Chaat is very famous for Khopra Patties and Matar Kachori. Also famous is Hot Dog at Johny Hot Dog. Madhuram Sweets has lovely Ras Malai.

Indore is famous for Namkeen. Visit Om Namkeen i.e. close to Chappan Dukan.
