Demystifying Caste

Whenever the word caste is used it is assumed to have a negative connotation. I have always asked myself ‘If India was divided by caste as people say today how did our civilization survive for over 5,000 years and become amongst the richest nations at some point’.

In order to demystify caste I am sharing a small presentation. It asks why are Hindus defensive about caste, different nomenclatures for the backwards, tit bits about caste, why China does not have a vibrant private sector, pointers on caste and what can you do.

Suppose the Media and Government were to stop referring to the caste of individual citizens and decide to treat all citizens equally we would, over time, forget the caste of friends and foes. Alas that is not the case.
